#### Kevlar cord wraps, not wounds
The device deploys a strong Kevlar tether from a distance to restrain a person’s limbs without using force or causing pain.

#### Encrypted memory chip inside each cartridge
Each cartridge includes a secure chip that logs how and when it was used.

#### Tamper-detection system
A built-in switch disables the cartridge if someone tries to open or alter it. The design uses the highest level of commercially available tamper protection to keep the device secure.

#### Durable casing
Reinforced housing protects the device from drops, rough handling and weather.

Every cartridge is programmed, tested and traceable before it leaves the line.

The cartridge was designed to fire a Kevlar cord from a sealed unit at a controlled distance, so officers can restrain without relying on pain-based compliance or physical force.

We embedded a secure memory chip inside each cartridge to log activation data, so that agencies can stand behind every deployment with verified records for investigations and audits.

We built in hardware-level encryption that prevents data from leaving the device. Even if someone tries to alter it, records stay secure and the chain of custody stays intact.

A more secure way to restrain
The BolaWrap is a restraint tool that gives law enforcement and military personnel a way to safely de-escalate difficult situations without causing pain. Instead of using force, it fires a Kevlar cord to wrap around a person’s legs or arms from a distance. This helps prevent injury to everyone involved.

#### Build trust in every cartridge
BolaWrap is designed to reduce harm. That means it must meet a higher standard of public trust and legal accountability. If a cartridge fails, or if its use cannot be verified, it could raise serious questions during investigations or in court.

### Our approach
#### Security from the start
28 Gorilla led the redesign of the cartridge system with three priorities: traceability, security and durability. We added a secure memory chip to record usage data. If someone tampers with the housing or electronics, the cartridge disables itself.
